Phil and his wife Leeanne met at high school and started dating as soon as Phil obtained his drivers’ licence.
Their working lives began at QANTAS and the Commonwealth Bank respectively. They became committed followers of Christ in their first year of marriage and were taken to their first CMS Summer School where they were challenged to offer for missionary service.
Several years later they both graduated from Sydney Missionary & Bible College and trained with Mission Aviation Fellowship at Ballarat for missionary service in Arnhem Land. Since then they have served God through CMS-NSW, the Bible Society, CMS-SA and in parish ministry in New South Wales, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Leeanne served as the Registrar of the Northern Territory Anglican Diocese for seven years. She has recently earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and has now set up a consultancy business in order to help organisations with compliance and governance issues. Phil has also been the Motor Racing Chaplain in Darwin for the past 20 years and enjoys driving fast (on racetracks).
After 33 years away from Sydney, Phil and Leeanne have developed a deep love for regional ministry and are delighted that God has opened up an avenue for ministry at Echuca/Moama which fits their hearts’ desires so closely. They are excited about being part of the family of God’s people at Christ Church and look forward to His blessings continuing to be evident as lives are transformed by the light, life and love of Jesus.
